Product Care
Thank you for purchasing one of my handmade knitted item. To ensure its longevity, please follow these care instructions:
Cold Hand Wash Only
- Fill a sink with cold water.
- Add a small amount of mild detergent designed for delicate fabrics or natural fibres.
- Gently submerge the knitted item, lightly agitating the water with your hands. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric.
- Let it soak for 10-15 minutes.
Rinse Thoroughly
- Drain the soapy water and refill the sink with clean, cold water.
- Swish the item gently to remove all soap residues.
- Repeat the rinsing process until the water runs clear and all soap is removed.
Handle with Care
- Press the item gently to remove excess water. Do not wring or twist, as this can distort the shape of the fibres.
- If necessary, roll the item in a clean, dry towel to blot out additional moisture. Gently press, but do not squeeze.
Drying
- Lay the item flat on a dry towel or a drying rack. Reshape it to its original dimensions.
- Avoid hanging, as this can stretch and distort the knitted fabric.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent fading and damage to the fibres.
Storage
- Store your knitted item in a cool, dry place.
- Fold it neatly and avoid hanging to maintain its shape.
- Consider placing it in a breathable fabric bag to protect it from dust and pests.
- Avoid contact with rough surfaces to prevent snagging.
- For spot cleaning, use a damp cloth with cold water and mild detergent, gently dabbing the area.
